would a BAD coolant temp sensor throw a code? and would it also cause loss of power? thanks
#3
here is the scenario, i picked up the car yesterday after getting the timing belt............
done, but the car has less power, temp guage went up a little and there is a coolant light that keeps coming on and off. i vag'd the car and got no codes for this problem but the shop that did the timing belt said i should probably replace the coolant temp sensor. tell me what you all think. thanks.

Bad thermostat, air bubble in the cooling system because they didn't bleed it, loose timing belt
from improper install/bad tensioner not spinning the water pump at full speed..
If the sensor isn't the problem that is..
