X-post: All in all, I was impressed with Audi's Streets of Tomorrow event.
My fiancee and I had a lot of fun. The Q7 is *very* nice. It doesn't handle like a boat. We test drove the Volvo V8 C90 on the prepped track - what a difference.
The A3 3.2 S-Line is a lot of fun.
The RS4 "hot lap" - I was very impressed. I've been in a Stage 3 S4 and the RS4 doesn't compare in terms of torque, but the handling for the stock car is sublime. I asked the driver if he felt any brake fade and he said no, but maybe I should have asked him after 5 hours of zipping around that small parking lot...
The staff were friendly. Food was good. And best of all, it was all free. If Audi's goal was to push brand recognition and the Q7, they succeeded in my book.

was there early today (Sunday) and was also very impressed.
If your driver of the RS4 thought that it was skating a bit, it was because I had a dozen laps around the auto-x course before 10am.
It was a 1st class event all the way and if you would've asked me if there was an expo/convention hall in Chester, I woulda said "NO WAY!".
I drove the Q7 two times and was also impressed. For ~$65k fully loaded, GM is in trouble with the Yukon and Escalade. The Q7 blows them away... and far away. The creature feature content is extreme and the prowess is intense also.
The S8 was badasss all the way. After they showed me the basics of the B&O sound system, I almost never got outta the car. The realism of that sound system is the best I've heard from a factory soundsystem (this from a regional Iascsa champ 10 yrs old)

the R8 that was there was a garage queen, tucked under the tent.
It was one of the cars that won LeMans years ago. And, it appeared as though you could jump right in it and take off. All you could see was the cockpit however. All of the bodywork was fully installed.
