Z06 a middle age crisis car?

Vette is in your face FUN
I drive a 01 C5 coupe with 490hp(no N20),killer brakes, upgraded suspension, safety equiptment. 10 track events a year and daily driving. Cost ~50K with upgrades. Also drive 01 S4 Avant. They are different cars. Forget what people think and do what You want to do. I know the stigma you refer to but why should you let a stigma dictate your enjoyment of supercar level performance. My C5 will pounce an Rs4 on anything but a rainsoaked track. Go drive the C5. Unless your work/life situation dictates that you follow the masses-like you are a lawyer who can only drive an M5,S500 or 911 because anything less would SHOW that you arent successful. I dont subscribe to that B.S. personally. I shopped all the hot cars a couple years ago and went S4- it's obvious and C5 because of the easily obtainable exotic level performance-without ever having to wait 2 months for spare parts.

the zo6 and most corvettes are very fine cars...
I own 3 plus my S4 avant and a host of others. CORVETTES are one of the least understood most underrated cars in America. The only problem is when they are owned by WINGNUTS (like a lot of folks on this board) woh beat the hell out of them and then sell them off and lower the values. I have a 92 a 93 zr1 40th ann. edition and a 96 grand sport and they are all a joy to drive, very fast and fuel effieient when driven sanely.

Vanity plate on my neighbor's Z06: "RMIDLIF" :-)
Yes, midlife crisis! But he's enjoying the hell out of it, and is planning on taking it to the QCUSA driving school at VIR in April!
