Hello all. My car a6 c7 3.0 tfsi. I have a question about the operation of the air suspension.When I travel around the city on an unruly road, I sometimes hear switching on the compressor and it seems that it balances the air.Is it normal that the compressor sets the suspension on a regular basis?After all night, when the car is standing, nothing falls and there are no errors in the VCD.

I may be a bit deaf, but I've never heard the air suspension "in action". If you're sure that's where the sound come from I would check it out, though I would wait for other forum opinions before taking any action. Have you tried the towing setting (its in S6, but not sure about A6)?

I have a towing mode but I do not turn it on. Earlier, I did not pay attention to the sound of this compressor.But going slowly and not listening to music can be heard as sometimes the compressor is working. Just not on an even road on which the suspension works.

In the 2.5 yrs I've had my S6 I've never heard the compressor run.

I don't ever notice the sounds/movement of the suspension while driving, as I'm pretty sure it stays 'set' in a drive select mode (except for when reaching high speed, I believe), but I can hear the bleeding/compressing sounds from outside the car (while loading, for example) and perceive the movement inside the car while sitting still. It's possible the A6 system works a little differently.
