Is there another dealer nearby?
My A7 with the 6 cylinder engine is smooth all the time. Before I installed the aftermarket exhaust, I couldn't tell if the engine was running. Your 8 cylinder engine should be as smooth if not smoother with the additional two cylinders. Best guess is a motor mount problem.

No (modern) car should be shaking around when its sitting idling.
I have an S7, sure you will HEAR the engine, as it sits purring on the driveway. It absolutely does not shake around.
Book a dealer visit asap!
