Actually, this is a very good 1/4 mile tune so to say.... drag racing has you in the upper rpm powerband 85% of the race so the added HP and TQ up top will be huge.... I ran 12.85 with intake.... with this tune and exhaust I think I would be in the 12.2-12.4's.....

Probably not... that will require pulley, 100 octane tune, exhaust and intake.... will be interesting when someone figures out launch control on the s-tronic cars...

I agree with primetime. not enough WHP to get to 11's. 12.2 to 12.4 1/4 should be achievable.

LOL I've run APR software for 10 years man...it's a painless process to upgrade As long as I can do it from a local dealer, and not have to mail my ECU in, I'm fine. Also, as long as Audi doesn't ahve some sort of tamper proof casing for the ECU to show it's been pulled.

It's funny...looks like they just knocked that restriction off at 5500 and let it fly. Shame you gained no torque but remember...this is a supercharger, not turbos. Basically you've got stock like curves without a restriction at high rpms.

Numbers are fantastic though. Let's see what you guys think about my rationale...I welcome your comments.

1. APR dyno'd 316 whp avg of 6 runs when stock (last year)...their dyno is highly efficient and reads higher than most. The other tuners (stratmosphere, and a couple of the others) found around 280-285whp on a mustang dyno. Fine. 280/316 = 90%. We'll apply that to APR's new numbers to see what they mean relative to normal dynos.

2. APR dyno'd 322 stock + their exhaust today. Thus we'll estimate 6whp attributed to their exhaust vs. before. Not very scientific, but call it what you want. 10? Doesn't matter. We're looking at the chip delta here.

3. APR dyno'd 360 whp chipped + their exhaust.

So first off, the chip alone added about 38whp on their dyno for a car with an exhaust. That's about 34whp on a normal dyno according to that 90% rule. Awesome gains. NA guys everywhere are jealous

Second off, multiply their 360 whp x 90% and you get the B8 S4 chipped with APR and their exhaust makes about 325 whp on a Mustang dyno. AWESOME! Using about 20% drivetrain loss that's about 406 crank, if you care about crank numbers. Use 25% and you're at 433.

What will the cost be? $1500? That's my guess. They appear to prepping the market for a big price tag. It's certainly going to sell well.

Performance guesses? I guess a quarter mile of around the same or a hair faster than JHM's full bolt on B6 S4 which went 12.70@112mph. Maybe a hair quicker like 12.6. Should be interesting. That car (JHM's B6) dyno'd 317whp/310wtq...was full weight...and was on 91 octane fuel. It also walked the pants off a carboned up RS4, like the video Keith posted last week.
