New Milltek Hi Flow received...any install hints or tips?
I have never seen the anti-leak paste that was included. How much should I use? Thin coat, thick coat, just in the cutouts/slots in the joints or around the entire circumfrence of each joint?
I realize that heat will cause the system to lengthen, but will it cause the tips to also "rise" in relation to the cutouts, in other words, should I set it a little low or just try to get it centered in the cutouts?
Also, what DV valve would you suggest to go with this exhaust, or should I wait until I chip it (next mod)?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Michael
I'd recomend having the exhaust tack welded once you get it where you want it..

Got it installed last night. Pain in the %$#. Not because of the system, but I had to do it on a gravel driveway at about a 20 degree slope, in the rain, with just enough room to wriggle my fat butt under the car. The system went together very well. I have a little misalignment in the tips but I just need to fine tune the adjustments. The newer system actually has adjustable hanger brackets on the "Can".
The sound is nice and mellow, just a little bit louder that stock, and I can only notice it when I get above 3500 rpm. I drove it in to work today and it seemed to smooth out some acceleration problems I was having (I have read this same comment on another Milltek review). I really havent put my foot into it yet, but I did notice that my MPG went up on several stretches that I had been keeping track of over the last few weeks so I could compare the before and after effects.
So far I am a happy camper. It was not cheap and I cant say it is better or worse than other systems, but I am pleased with my first mod.
