... but there is no replacement for sitting down with references like Maximum Boost (Corky Bell) and refreshing one's physics, calculus and algebra skills.

Default And some backpressure is still essential to ANY pump (read turbo) operating properly.

so... what is this telling me to do? get a 42dd downpipe and high-flow cats for my blueflame? :-)

Default Great writeup. This is why I eliminated the OEM neck-down.......

coupler when I mated my 42DD DP to my BlueFlame. The neck-down to 2.5" is a large detractor to exhaust performance, as noted in the article. I wish that the BlueFlame (2.75" D) had the same D as the DP (3" D) but at least for my setup it's a gradual transition without the neck-down.

Yes! and don't forget to remove the OEM coupler.
