Check engine on, tech said it was O2 sensor need some advice, thanks.
So I was thinking of changing the sensor my self, but I suspect I need a vag com type of tool to monitor the sensor and turn the light back off?
I saw some vag cables and software on ebay, is this the best least expensive way to go?
also for the o2 sensor i read getting the Bosch 16109 Oxygen Sensor from Amazon currently $79 is the best way to go for that? I'm still looking for the replacment instructions if they are posted on the forum.
Thanks for any help in advance.
You can buy one of those cables, or you could alternately pick up a ScanGaugeII from the Modshack -- great little thing, and all sorts of convenient.
2. Figure out which o2 sensor it is (im pretty sure its the pre cat one
3. If pre-cat I need the o2 sensor tool Patterson used and replace the sensor, is it a straight replace with this guy (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BZJ9WE) do i just need to shave the tab plug and play?
Do you guys know if there are any pictures of the replacement?
Thanks again.
