My 1.8TQ was built in 09/02. Haven't gotten recall notice yet, should I expect one?

I asked my dealer, and they said that if I didn't have a letter from AoA, then they wouldn't do the coilpack change.

How can I find out if I should have my coilpacks changed? I am going to Virginia beach this saturday, and its a 9 hour drive. I dont' want to get stuck.

nope, you didn't make the cut. you'll just have to wait for failure... if you're lucky

Take off the engine cover, pull out the coil pack. Check what part # you have. H = bad, J, L = good.

my build date was 02/02 .... i got the letter last month...

after the damn coils failed on me...
i guess wait for a couple of months you should be getting the letter.
