NJ ghetto update. I got a ticket for this lame No Turn on Red sign months ago

Gee your honor, if it's already in a sufficient location, why move it? This would be in the ghetto of Bound Brook. Where, if you speak English, drove with a valid license, and didn't commit a DUI, you will NOT get a break in court.

and that's all the court needed to enforce it. Notice where the stop line is. I measured it
it's 12.5 feet in FRONT of the sign. It's absolutely absurd that a sign which applies to a traffic signal is not in view while stopped at the intersection. PA statutes say that sign is a joke and not enforceable. At least these ghetto NJ scumbags couldn't put points on my license.

Honestly.....if it's a Non-Moving (no point) ticket, I just Pay The Man. It's not worth the time, $$$$ if you lose (Court Fees) or hassle to fight it in Court.
You can always call the Court and find out if the citation they write on the ticket is moving or non-moving.
Moving Violations are a different story. Always try to fight those.

It was a moving violation. 2 points if I still had a NJ license. The initial fine was like $80ish
in the end, I paid something like $120 with the court costs and it seems they elevate the fine when you take it to court. I fought it because I practiced safe driving and I felt that the sign placement was absurd. I stopped for a good 10 seconds while checking EVERY light post for a sign. I believe that setup was total bull****. In Pennsylvania, I would have been found not guilty as that placement is not up to their code.
