New here and confused already

Hi, folks, this is my first post after one day of ownership and i'm stumped already. i've just acquired a 95 cabriolet and I'm trying to clean it thoroughly. It has seat covers on it and I've got the front removed but the backs!!! It seems like I am needing to remove the rear seats to get the (very secure) rear covers off but I can't see how to do it! Any help would be appreciated some can get the roof down and enjoy the Aussie sun! Thanks

Run your finger along the carpeting just under the front of the back seat bottom cushion. Near the center on each side you will feel a small carpet tab that can be pulled down. Under each tab is a screw. Remove the screws and you can lift the bottom seat cushion out. The two bolts that secure the seatback will then be visible below the seatback. Remove those bolts and lift the seatback straight up. Those bolts thread into two nuts that are welded to the sheet metal behind the seatbacks. Pray that one or both nuts do not break loose. I recommend that you lubricate the bolts before you try to remove them and again when you install them. Good luck.
