Default oil sludge question

Hey all. Have 2001 ttq 225 with 238k miles, all mine. Previously replaced oil pump, turbo oil line and upgraded turbo and added header after doing flush with autozone solution that caused turbo smoke about 40-50k miles ago. Now have oil pressure light intermittently after driving then slowing down. I have done 1 quart diesel addition with idle for 30 minutes and oil change then fill with diesel fuel soak overnight and drain that cleared out some stuff and diesel was dark tea colored. Now with new oil that is clear after driving about 40 miles but oil light still intermittently and actually heard valve tappets briefly. I plan to use Mobil 1, 0w-40 full synthetic oil regularly now. Considering repeat diesel flush with 50-50 mix, but expecting to have to drop pan to clean return pipe screen. Is there a way to clean screen with some spray or something through the drain hole without having to remove oil pan? Anyone know if the return pipe screen has been made larger and if so part number? Any thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

You can try removing the oil and adding 4.5 quarts of kerosene to the crankcase. Let soak overnight, drain, replace drain plug and fill with fresh oil

It's been many years since I've done it. I had no issues. If you are concerned, I'd pull the oil pan and clean or replace the screen.

Not sure how hard it is to pull the pan on a TT. I know my Passat is a pita. I havn't pulled the pan on my A6 or A8 but it would be easy. If there isn't much in the way I'd pull the pan and then you'll know for sure the pickup screen is clean.

TT 1.8L BEA engine is simple for oil pan removal. Ballykid did it in under an hour start to finish.

Now, my daughter's '08 Jeep Liberty was a mother f - - - - - to do. Front axle had to be removed. Took about nine hours over three days to do.
