ZA: Central Locking issue? 2009 q7
My Q7 has started giving me a strange problem. The car locks fine, But the drivers door doesnt unlock.
I can unlock it by pulling the handle from inside,
It did have a issue before, where it would skip the unlock now and then, But you lock and then unlock again and it works..
Anyone got suggestions on what I can check, and what I might need to replace?
Its only the drivers door
Few solutions, including looking under a rubber grommet for a plastic adjuster. Similar to child lock? But the drivers door doesnt have one
Then , I found this

And it suggested ,
- Pull the outside and inside handle at the same time until you feel it click: This appeared to work for a while, but failed again.
Other solutions,
Drill into the actuator and spray WD40,
Replace the actuator.
Replace the door
So, for now, the handle tugging will work
Be sure to diagnostic scan your car fully (never a bad idea anyway) if you have the door handles with the external locking buttons built into them, as the proximity sensors embedded within those specific type handles and the dedicated external locking button eventually ground out and cause problems.
Going to pull it apart this weekend and see, if its just a clean, maybe i win
@'10Q7TDI_Prestige' , Its the 2009, I dont even have fancy bluetooth, so no proxy sensors. its jsut the actuator.
