Default Tell me about living in SoCal--

A job opportunity has come up and I'm looking for somewhere to move. I can be anywhere on the west coast pretty much, but I'm focusing on Socal simply cause its close to the company's home office, and I've heard good things and enjoy the climate. I've always been an east coast kid-- grew up in FL and live in GA now, so I'm just looking for some comparisons/info on what I should expect, and what areas I should be looking at.

Any ideas on places to live around the area? I'll be renting, not buying a place.

Default That is such a general answer. Have you ever been? Every area is so different here.

It depends what is important to you.

Beach? Warm vs. Cold?
People? Traffic? Older vs. Newer
Commute from work.

You need to be a bit less general about what you want to know and what you are asking.

For me I would say the east valley is the best.
Encino to Toluca Lake.
South of the Frwy.
If you look at a map its the San Fernando Valley but the southern part.

Its overpriced though.

What city is your job?

you can do anything here. Surf and snowboard in the same day.

More diversty as far as people. Great culture, food, shows....you name it.

Mountains are stunning.

Where will your work place you. Then we can offer better suggestions.
