Rattle in Q5 TDI engine.
Audi Q5 TDI (year 2012, 110 000km) has lately a hearable rattle in the engine. It is hearable only at traction, no at freewheel! Full VCDSL engine audit shows completely OK. What makes such a noise? May the fault be in the turbocompressor (bears)?

The 2,0L TDI engine does not have timing chane. Repear shop master told me that the fault is caused by the EGR valve. I'm interenting if it is so then what makes such noise? All parameters at the motor vehicle inspection (in March this year) were OK. No loss in output power, no smoke in jet exhaust ,no surplus spending of fuel. But the rattle exists, even becomes louder...

Just a thought, remove the v-belt (serpentine belt) and start the engine briefly for a quick test to take the alternator and A/C compressor out of the picture (all possible moving parts).
Maybe the fuel injectors make this noise?
