Default Allroad 12V gauge - signal, scale, etc

Does anybody know the calibration/signal for the 12V gauge in the C5 A6/Allroad cluster?

Is it a 0-5 Volt signal?
Calibration? I.e. 0V = "8V" 5V = "16V"?
Linear?
Table for calibration?

I would like to "misuse" the gauge for other purposes.

Any suggestions?

Also: what connector is feeding the gauge? Signal pins? Wire colors?

I would guess they are steppers motors. Likely need to supply via Arduino if you just want linear input.
