Default Blackberry 8800

I have a 2007 A8L and have just been switched in my company to the Blackberry 8800. Unfortunately, I cannot maintain the bluetooth connection between the Blackberry and the car.

I have recently downloaded the most recent operating system from RIM (Blackberry's Owner), but it did not fix the problem.

Can anyone shed some light on this problem? Anyone have a fix?

Thank you,

Craig

Default Re: Blackberry 8800

An addendum to my Blackberry problem with the 2007 A8L....

When I reboot the phone and have the Blackberry Bluetooth "find" the car, it will work for a call or two and then the phone gives me the following error message: "Uncaught exception: java.lang.ClassCast Exception"

Does anyone know what this means or what needs to be done to fix this issue?

Thank you,

Craig

Researched the RIM web site and found a work-around for my problem with the Audi car kit for Blue Tooth...

You must disable the address book syncronization function on the phone. Once this is done, the phone will stay connected to the car via bluetooth.

Default I just picked up an 8830 this morning. Your "review" here sealed the deal. BT works very well.

Thanks :-D
