Default BT Retrofit - Dialer not working

(STFA already) Maybe I just don't know how to work it (seems pretty intuitive though) but has anyone ever seen this?

Installed the BT module (new) with an RNS-E (1yr old) retrofit. Did the VAG-COM mod according to instructions provided. RNS-E unit seems to be doing fine, NAV, radio, CD all work fine. Phone seems to be mostly working fine - recognizes the phone (Treo650), imports my speed dial numbers into the directory, shows the call history, and will make and receive calls just fine.

However, when I press TEL, the dialer screen comes up. If I rotate the **** to a number, and press the ****, instead of typing the number in the entry field, the screen switches to the memory field. Press it again - back to the dialer screen. Shouldn't it simply type in the number until I press SEND??

Default I don't think I've ever used that dial...

since I can just voice dial. However, you do not ahve those buttons on the RS6 steering wheel to activate voice dialing, which is too bad...one of the nicer featres of the OEM BT setup.

I'll ahve to go down to the garage and see how the dial thing works to see if it also does the same thing you described.
