Default Questions about using a BMW BlueTooth Upgrade Module in an Audi

I have a 2002 A6 4.2L with a Motorola Handsfree phone Installation System for vehicles equipped with Telematics by OnStar v.60c/v.60t cradle, Part # 8E1 862 407A, Serial # 000054912. I am interested in purchasing a BMW BTUM to fit in place of the V60 phone.

1. Is the BMW BTUM compatible with my cradle whose part number ends in "A"? If not what are my options? Will Audi update my cradle?

2. Should I be looking for a bluetooth phone from the BMW bluetooth compatibility list or the Audi compatibility list?

3. I'm considering getting a Motorola Razor V3m with Verizon, does anyone have any experience with that phone and the BMW BTUM?

4. The local BMW dealer has a BTUM in stock and is willing to let me try it in my car before I buy it. What is the process to get it linked and how do I check that all the functionality is there?

I would appreciate any advice anyone can offer. Thank you.

Default Re: Questions about using a BMW BlueTooth Upgrade Module in an Audi

I bought a BMW Bluetooth Upgrade module kit for CPT9000 equipped cars to use in a 2002 Audi A6 4.2L with a Motorola Handsfree phone Installation System for vehicles equipped with Telematics by OnStar v.60c/v.60t cradle, Part # 8E1 862 407A, Serial # 000054912. I am using a Motorola Razr V3m with Verizon Software version NEWC_01.09.02

The units (V3m and BMW BTUM) Pair fine; I can use the steering wheel controls and voice commands to place and receive calls. Most everything works great...

However, I cannot get my Phonebook to download.

I tried re-Pair several times and I tried holding the BTUM button for about one second and then waited 2-3 minutes several times, per the BMW BTUM instructions.

I even tried all of the above with my wife's LG enV phone.

My V3m is on BMW's list of approved phones. It looks like I even have the same Software version as what BMW tested. "Software tested: Newc_01.05.0A, 01.09.02"

What do I need to do to get my Phonebook to download?

Please help,
