Default Anybody thinking about modding an S4, copy Derek.

Shortly after receiving in-car instruction from Steve Hill (to help me practice what he was talking about in his advanced classrom sessions) I asked Derek if I could drive his S4.

This was a chance to really put an S4 through it's paces, and to practice what Steve had just taught me.

Good thing Derek's car has big brakes and race tires. I should have been scaring myself by how fast we were taking turns, but Derek and I were too busy laughing. Fun ride. That car has stupid amounts of grip and is set up perfect for TWS.... very neutral and easy to drive fast.

I did not time myself, but we were going faster that I ever went in my Z and my best time in the Z is 2:06.

Derek... Thanks for letting me drive the car!

Default Next time we do that I need diapers because..

I know you're gonna go faster. 110-115 sideways thru turn 1-2 was awesome. Harnesses are mandatory with you. Or maybe I should just go ahead and get the rollcage.

That was truly the most awesome driving experience in my own car ever, or in any car for that matter. I'm sorry but I have to say that I am very pleased and impressed with my car.

It took me about half an hour to settle down after our run. My face hurt soo much from grinning like an idiot.

I didn't know until our drive that black cars got the special black flag. Too cool!

Thanks again Pete and can't wait for the next event..

Default yep.... you get the special black flag when you pass between 3 and 4 in the Blue run group.

But then... we were going so dang fast that I HAD to pass or I would have punted the slower cars off the track!

For the next event I think we should strip out the interior, weld in a roll cage, add a pair of race shells and call it a race car.
