You MUST replace all your engine mounnts - engine, trans, and dogbone. or the engine will torque and the pipe will hit the body, then the driveshaft..over and over.. I went with the poly mounts. work great! Located the engine quite nicely.

Don't think about doing the job without doing the mounts.

Also, you will likely pull 02 sensor codes. Space the downstream sensors out of the stream and it will eliminate getting the codes.

Also replace the o2 sensors while you are there. There are cheaper alternatives that can be installed and work.
Do you know exactly how many mounts in total for a 00 tt quattro 1.8t? Also do you know where I can find a list of the exact ones I need so I can price them and order them?

there are 3, engine, transmission and dogbone mount. Aftermarket poly bushes will be stiffer and will transmit some vibration to the car .. OEM wont but wont last too long. Mine are VF engineering . This specific brand can be purcahsed anywhere.. ECS tuning is where I get most of my parts https://www.ecstuning.com/b-vf-engin.../vfa06-050403/ There are other brands. Thats what I used though
