Default 2000 TT Quattro

Located a pre-owned black on black 2000 TT Quattro with 33,000 miles. Planning on driving it tomorrow. Any common problem areas or specific items to look for?

Thanks

Default Service records, instrument cluster function, DV / MAF / or control arm replacement...

wheel damage, clutch wear, functioning xenon lights, and other basics.
Best to do a search here (unless already familiar) on the initial list above.
GuTTe luck.

Hi,

My 2000 urTTQC w/28k miles has had no problems other than tire, DV valve and the back shelf replacement.

Great car (so far), but I'm glad I have the Audi Assured extended warrenty.

Are you buying it from an Audi Dealer?

DV?
What would indicate control arm replacement?

Thanks for the responses.

What's the DV valve?
It's at a VW-Honda dealer. Actually they have 2, one black/black w/o spoiler and one metallic blue/grey w/spoiler.

Thank you for your response.

Default What did it cost to replace your synchros ?

If you got them replaced on your warranty, do you have any idea how big/costly it was?

Mass Air Flow sensor:

Control Arms:
(Front and rear) Vehicle was recalled for replacement of these parts along with addition of rear spoiler (long story). However, original (Mark 1) front arms some consider more desirable for handling characteristics. :^)

Thanks for the answers.

Re the control arms, alignment issue: as the spoiler was owner optional is there any way to visually tell if the upgrade has been performed or will I need to have a dealer run the VIN?
