2003 audi tt ac problem
Hello folks, I would really be appreciative of any feedback or help on a current problem that I am having with my daughters 2003 audi tt air conditioning. First let me say that when the ac is working it works great and blows cold but here is the problem as you first start the car ac is working, once car reaches normal motor temperature you can hear the ac compressor kick off and outside air starts coming in. Ac will not kick back on until car has been off and cooled off than restarted. Both engine and ac fans are operating and fuses good ect. Anyone have any idea of why the ac is kicking itself off and not kicking back on? Took to dealership to be checked and they felt the ac control module needed replacing and wanted almost 500.00 and to me it just doesn't seem right. Thanks again for any input

There is a high as well as low refrigerant pressure cut off switch. Also an ambient air temp switch/sensor. Any one of these three devices can shut the compressor off.
Use VCDS to confirm operation of these. Or, use the service manual and follow the guided fault finding steps.
