20K service update (I have NICE things to say about my dealer, as always)
After being without my TT for an entire week, I now have it back. I'll spare you the details, but here is a summary:
Diablo Audi in Concord, CA continues to take excellent care of me. I know a couple forumers who have had mixed reviews about this dealer, but I have zero complaints. They will get top marks when the survey folks call me.
--20K service performed-- all items confirmed in writing, including Haldex service.
--All items on my list were properly addressed except for shocks, which tested to spec. Thats ok... I'll get Bilsteins when I can afford them. Truth be told, I wouldn't have even asked for shocks if I had cash for Billys. Some of the other items were VERY expensive repairs, so I'm more then happy to do shocks on my dime.
Things to know that might be useful info:
--There is a new part number for tranny gear oil. I had mine replaced, and shifting feels less notchy, This tranny will always have some notchiness due to design, but the new OEM fluid is noticeably better.
--There is a new part number for the Haldex control module, which apparently causes the CD player "morse code" noise. Replaced.
--There is a new part number for the MAF. I was having some issues with mine-- replaced.
There are a bunch more items, but let me say that I'm happy with the work and leave it at that. Parting thought is that our clutches are not as durable as one would like to think. :-X

Marilyn was the writer... I guess she might be new there....
in any event, she was terrific about addressing all of my concerns, making sure the report was itemized and detailed, and calling me when promised with updates.

Nice. I talked with her when I was there. I've been using Dennis as my writer the 3 times I've been there. He's been good. So, about that clutch

Evan - about the MAF - what did they do to determine if it was bad?
I've had some hesitation on my car - not sure if it's DV or MAF related. Dealer found no codes and "couldn't replicate" problem. Just curious as to what Diablo did? Any procedure?
