Default After market audio head unit questions

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get a head unit for my TT, but I want to make sure I can still close my TT's flip down radio cover. What is the maximum depth dimension I should keep it under?

Any suggestions as to which model works best? I just want a simple CD player that can read MP3 files, and looks appropriate on a TT.

TIA.

Default Becker Monza 7887 MP3

Perfect match, no problem with the cover, clean design.

Default Andrewtt--Did you have to change everything else..

Which other components if any did you swap out as well? A brief run down would be appreciated.

Always loved the minimalist lines of Beckers. What else did you change out?

Default You mean regarding the audio system?

Everything! I ditched the rear speakers, put a set of Focal components in the front, a 12" sub and a 5ch. amp. If you meant just the HU, I also had to add those two little plastic pieces that cover the openings that most aftermarket HUs leave uncovered on TTs...

Default Not sure...

I bought mine from Greece, but I think that Becker belongs to an american group of companies, so the most logical is that there has to be availability of them over there. Check their web page for more info, spot the importer or dealer of your area and contact them.
