Default All ko4's the same?

There's a fairly cheap ko4 for sale that I'm interested in but the guy that's selling it was going to put it in his A4...Is it the same for the TT? Any idea how much hp this will add to a stock 180tt? Thanks!

Default no, they aren't >

K04-01 for 180's; K04-15 for longitudinal; K04-20/22/23 for 225's (airc) and K04-25/26 for RS4's, etc, etc...

So what exactly is the difference in the K04-01's and K04-20/22/23's? What are the power differences and why are they not interchangable between the two TT models?

Default the shape of the charge outlet is different, and >

the inlet diameter (compressor wheel housing) is different, as is the exhaust inlet and downpipe outlet, as well as the shape of the outlet and there are significant orientation differences between them; of course there are numerous internal differences also - compressor wheel blades, for instance.

Heres a K03 Sport - identical configuration to a K04-01:

And here's a K04-01:

and here's a K04-22 for comparison:

Default yes, sure >

I thought that was obvious - the 20 series flows more and supports higher power. Most sites will tell you the K04-01 will support 240/245 hp since that's an upgrade for 180's; I believe the 20 series supports 275/300 hp, but you either need one or the other unless you want to go to a fair amount of trouble so that's only an academic question.

Default yes, but he asked about K04's, and K04-01 is a drop-in for 180's >

and thats were he might have run into either confusion or just gotten the wrong turbo.

Ah. Didn't know you could just drop in a KO4. I imagine that would need some reprogramming.
