Default Allocation

Can anyone tell me how the allocation process works. I have a deposit down at a small dealership (sixth on list) and am wondering if it would be better to go to a larger dealership that has a much higher sales volume (that also means that the list is probably longer). Any information would be appreciated.

Default Re: Allocation

I really dont know how allocation works. But when I entered the list I was number eleven. 2 months later I got my car. I noticed that most of the people before me in the list canceled until I reach number 5. Do not despair, I'm sure that your current position will move quickly.

Shop around! I saved 100.00 per month by doing so...The same damn TT ordered at one place in town wanted 100.00 more per month for a lease...and 2 months longer wait! I shopped as far as the next state...becouse you can always take it to your dealer in your town for all your service needs!!!

Good Luck!

Default Allocation is based on...

...not only sales volume, but sales satisfaction and, customer satisfaction. Having high sales is no guarantee for a store to be getting alot of TT's.
As for saving money, be prepared to pretty much pay sticker. There are many other ways for a dealer to make money, however. They can mark up the APR on a finance contract, or the money factor on a lease for example.
