Any way a computer would request lower boost without throwing a code?

My fuel economy has been **** lately and I'm only boosting at around 11psi (held). Thats on a 225 hp TT. The peak is around 13-14. I distinctly recall my car holding at 13 and peaking at 15-16. Tech looked at the car and said everything is fine. ...but I think that he only checked the codes and didn't bother pressurising the system.

Check your MAF?

Might not throw a code, but could lead to the symptoms you describe..

wait til warmer temps....if ur still hlding relatively low boost...then start to worry

to be quite honest, i think it's just tempreture

Just had it replaced less then a month ago. I'll check it though.

Thats what I was thinking also :) It will get hotter within a week so I'll see then.

Thing is that sometimes it boost fine even at low temps.

Also check the coolant temp sensor. I had both replaced and made a hugh difference.

Steve... does cleaning the MAF really do much?

Or is it just better to replace?

well, like i said earlier

it may be low temps outside, but if you've been sitting still for a while, the air inside isn't cold, and also the tubing is heated up so even when air passes through, it'll be warmer air (regardless of outside air now) hence boosting more.
