Default Bosch Motronic manual is not specific....>>

On the materials. In that element is a 1) Temperature compensation sensor, 2) Bridge resistor, 3) heater resistor, and 4) sensor resistor......i think it's rocket science...:-)

Default reason why I was asking..was looking for a more effective way

of cleaning the metal and sensor section. I have tried sodium hydroxide, which seem to yield a better cleaning then non residue cleaner or IPA, however would like to know the metal type as I would be concerned about etching it using either an organic acid or a strong alkaline..Since Ive been running the Forge foam filter I getting alot of oil on it...with the added heat in the intake and maf section from the motor, its baking it on nicely...so the non residue cleaner isnt shifting it as effectively. Interested in knowing the plastic type, as I might try some ketone or mibk or something similar but dont want to plasticize it. Pure hexane is my next option...i honestly think short of mafs being DOA, that you can bring em back from the dead with a thorough enough cleaning...

Default Might not wanna get too caustic....>>>

Here's a quote from the book:

"The heated element on the hot film air-mass meter is a platinum film resistor (heater). It is located on a ceramic plate together with the other elements in the bridge circuit."
