Default For anyone installing the OEM iPod Harness, here are some tips!

1. If you have a CD changer, eject the cartridge and take your CD's out. If you don't and install the harness, there will be no power going to the CD changer so it won't eject the cartridge.

2. When putting in the wires for the OEM iPod harness, make sure your looking at the picture (in the directions) & the harness it's self the same way.

3. It's a biotch to get the CD changer harness wires out. So if you make a mistake with the iPod harness wires, good luck getting them back out without damaging or entirely screwing up anything.

And if you are wondering, I screwed up on all 3 of my tips. I'm extremely glad that Tony (Blue TTop) got me out of a potentially expensive mistake.

Default good tips CUL8R..>>

there are always some common sense things that any of us may forget

ok if I include tip 1 to my writeup? (giving you credit, of course)

PS> there is a proper tool for removing the wires out of the harness but I was able to pop mine out with just a small (ie, jewelers) screwdriver

audi ipod adapter install

Default That's true...that tool would have corrected my mistake in a few seconds.

But you kept your cool while I was ****ting in my pants thinking I just made a 200 something dollar mistake, L! Could you tell? And although we never used that tool, I would like to shake the hand of the person who came up with it.
