Anyone other than Brad got their new H&R rear springs mounted-up yet (coil-overs)?

Noticed top of windings are sleeved with heat shrink for the 1st winding. They are also a little offset and tilted. Should, in fact, be a little more quiet (I sure as hell hope so cuz I've had my fill with the damn noise and constant redesigns).

Saw Wes at Laguna. He's got his on. He says....
they're quieter, no thump at all!!!!, and much more progressive. That is, you don't feel the rear jumping up and down over the uneven concrete strip freeways we have in the Bay Area. I'll be fitting mine next week.

What's the issue with noise on the H&R Coilovers?
I've been reading these last few threads and am wondering what the noise issue is. Is this due to the shortened height of the spring? The adjustable perch? I'm also in the Bay Area here and would be interested in hooking up with those of you who have made the change to coilovers to see what the difference would be like from the MKI suspension in my TT.

The issue with the Mk II rear spring is.....
they have a "short" effective length due to using a second helper spring. The end result is that they:thump: due to topping out over some bumps...and the spring rate is such that they can give a "bouncy" ride over concrete section freeways and similar road surfaces.
The free update to the MkIIIs that have just arrived (I got mine on Monday) are supposed to resolve both the noise and the harsh ride issues.
Harsh is a relative term btw, the ride and handling with the H&Rs is markedly improved over standard.
