Default Attention All 3.2 Owners - Possible Battery Problem & Need Input

After my Audi TT 3.2 sat in the long-term airport parking for 12 days, I came back to a dead battery.

Nothing was left on, as far as I could tell.

At this point, I am wondering if this is a problem experienced by other 3.2 TT owners?

Default No...

I have had my car in storage, both this winter and last, in my garage. Last year I would start my car every week or two and never had a problem. This year I'm using a battery maintainer just in case. Started the car once this winter (last week) with no problems.

Default Can't say I've had any problems either...

Since last September I've been traveling a lot to Europe for work, gone about 3 weeks a month.

Every time I get back, the car starts right up. Granted it's sitting inside a relatively warm garage, but I don't think that makes a big difference.

Do you have any accessories hooked up, such as cell phone car kit, aftermarket radio etc?
If installed right, they shouldn't be leaking any power from the battery.. I have added a few components to my TT (see my sig) and haven't experienced any such problems.

Default Car is stock, no accesories either. Sounds like I need to have the dealer research this further.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.

No problems here. Sat for 5 days and then started OK.

Default The dealer left on my interior dome light and...

...when I picked up the car a couple of days later, the battery was dead. They checked the battery and it tested fine. Gave me a jump start and I've had no problems since.

I wonder if it's possible that you left an interior light or some other voltage draining device on while you were away?

I had a similar problem, except mine was sitting in the garage for 10 days. The dealer said that it is some kind of new gel battery and that there have been some problems with them. It was replaced free under the warranty.

Thought samething, but could not find anything that would have drained it. MozarTT might be on to it
