Audi has a final fix for the failing DV's.
TTs that are currently built come with a completely redesigned DV valve. The new DV valve is not the H valve. Got that info at Road Alanta

My last DV B/4 Bailey was a G with build date stamp of 7/15/00.
Although the valve was predictably noiseless for the short service time experience (installed on 9/18/00) don't bet the farm "all is OK", now. Its still a leaker.
Installed Bailey on Thursday and overall MPG immediately increased by 3 with no change in driving style, weather or fuel. That is, no other change or variable has been introduced to equasion...less G pedal is required to obtain same power with Bailey.
BTW, this G valve is stamped with Audi rings...no VW or Bosch markings. Also, this OEM DV was my 4th. Including TAS and Bailey, I now have had 6 DVs in TT...Bailey is looking like my last.

If such a beast exists, it would be an "I" valve...
Simply call your friendly parts department and ask what the latest revision is; last time I called the parts computer was still showing the "G" valve as current, and like the saying says, if it's not in the computer, they can't order it...

I too got better gas mileage w. Bailey, but wasn't sure if it was just engine breakin.
But after switching back to my E valve for my 5k service, I noticed a drop in gas mileage (~2 mpg). This is even though my E valve is still in pretty good condition with only has a slight honk when the engine is cold. I didn't report this before since 2 mpg over a period of a couple of days is probably still within the noise range (e.g., due to heavier traffic or heavier foot during my commute).
