Automatic?
my wife cannot drive a manual car so we would have to get the TT in Automatic but we have no clue as to when the automatic version is coming out. please email me with a possible date...thanks a million.<p>heavyd5000@aol.com<p>the car is phenomenal!

So far, the Auto version is just a rumor. Audi has not announced any plans yet.<br>I sorta doubt Audi will spent the money to develop the Automatic until demand starts to fall off.<br>Your best bet is to teach your wife to drive the manual. Many driving schools have special one day classes to teach people how to drive manuals. I paid $50 to send my niece to such a course a few years ago -- she loves it as none of the teenage boys in her area can drive a stick and (her driving one) is intimidating to them.<p>My own feeling is that an automatic removes the driver far enough from the act of driving that a sports or even a sporty car is rendered into something else...

We also expect to introduce the TT Roadster (convertible) and the TT Coupe with additional horsepower (225) during the spring of 2000.
