I hope they never bring an automatic TT to market. And honest, I'm not one of those "manual transmission snobs". I believe it IS possible to have fun driving an automatic transmisison. I've deriven one for years. But, I am SO GLAD Audi isn't offerig one because when I ordered mine two weeks ago, I probably would have wimped out and gotten it. I hadn't driven a manual transmission in 14 years but when I got behind the wheel of the TT Roadster for the test drive, I had more fun than any human should be allowed to have. (and my clothes were on!) This car is absolutely, positively meant to be manually shifted. As a bonus, if continue to withhold an automatic, it will limit the buyers. That means we'll continue to be members of a somewhat exclusive club!

I'm with you even if it sounds biTTchy. I have at least 6 friends who
could care squat about cars that will buy one in a heartbeat if it's automatic. There will be a TT on every corner.
