Default Broken Engine covers

Has anybody had a problem where the dealer has broken parts of their engine covers? I got my TT back a week or so ago and all the engine covers were loose and not properly installed. After some investigation I found that the battery cover hinges were broken off, the battery box was not reassembled properly, and the main engine cover (the one with 5V on it) had a broken peice which holds the rubber grommet in place.

The dealer has agreed to replace all the broken parts, but if I had never checked (when I clean my car, I clean the engine) they would have never said anything.

Anybody have this kind of experience? Am I being too uptight about this?

definetly not. if they break it they have to replace it that's how easy it is! But that kind of stuff makes you think. If they can not even take the engine covers off properly......!!!??!!??!

Default Mine broke and dealer said they would not replace under warranty

I do not know who broke them, but they are broken. Either way, dealer said this was not a warranty item. Lame.

Default BINGO. THey have serious issues with dis- & re-assembly...>

I'm sure most of it's cos they are rushed, but shouldn't that clue them in to slow down?

I've lost Battery covers, the toolkit cover & the rear trunk panel...the list goes on.
