Default bypassing radio wiring to emergency brake for using dvd while driving

My JVC that I installed requires that I connect a wire to the parking brake to use the dvd. How do I bypass the parking brake connection? It not only will be a hassle, but I would like that someone in the passenger seat can view the dvd screen while I am driving.

Default If you bypass at the handle won't you lose the warning light?

I'd just run the JVC wire to either 12v or ground which ever its' looking for.

Default couldn't you just introduce 12v to the JVC wire?

from the dashlights or something...

Default I had a toggle switch on mine that I had to flip... It was sort of a process:

Flip switch, depress brake pedal, flip switch again, release brake.

Dunno exactly what that voodoo was, but it worked.

I figured it out. It was very simple, just had to ground the wire. Now my next problem is I cannot find a switched power lead. All the power leads are always on, not switched by the ignition. Anyone know which would be a switched lead I could use. I don't want the radio to have to be manually turned off.

Thanks,
