When you pull the brake up, a light saying BRAKE lights on the dash - where can I tap
into that wire?
I am getting the Lidatek laser echo unit. I was talking with Lidatek today and they said their unit has 2 auxilliary outputs that are not published in their literature. Upon receiving laser, one auxilliary sends a constant ground signal (good for muting radio if so desired), and the second auxilliary sends a series of on-off ground signals for several seconds. This would correspond with an audible alarm. Lidatek said that on some cars you could tap into the cable sending the signal that lights up the BRAKE symbol on the dash and make it flash BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE when the audible alarm sounds.
They said someone tapped into the wire at the relay down at the brake pedal and it set off the car alarm upon getting a laser signal.
