A/C Question (Help)
I have an 2001 Audi TT 225.. and im still learning things about this car.. but there is one thing that is really pissing me off.. im not sure if im seeing this right or not...
On the HVAC system when you place the temp down to the lowest setting it can go and turn on ECON the vents blows out normal outside air i beleave almost feels like it is heated...
When the i turn the HVAC system to RECIRCULATE... the system blows extremely cold air.. like even when you adjust the temp up to try to lower the temp it still blows extremely cold...almost to the point where it starts frosting on the air vents.....
is ECON mode not an A/C mode???

ECON = Economy (No AC). Yes it is designed like this...>
Most all cars these days have this ability to cycle the compressor off, when you just want outside (fresh air) ventilation.
Just leave it in Auto and let it do the thinking for you.

When in econ mode, pushing any other button erases econ mode. So when you go to recirculate, the A/C actually turns on. Air exiting the vents is *always* cold when the compressor is running and the car hasn't reached the set point. You are not deciding the exit temp of the air by adjusting the temp controls, you are setting the temp you want the car to be.
