can the OEM nav system be added to the TT after purchase?

most likely not . . .
It would require ripping apart the entire interior of the car, adding the second cd player, adding in the GPS unit, replacing the instrument cluster, adding the NAV controls, plus who knows what else!
it would cost you way too much to even be worth the investment, let alone the labor to do it! I also doubt you could find an Audi dealer to even do the work for you.
If you really want the NAV, you would be better off trading your car for a TT with the NAV from the factory, it would cost you less!

I have seen this in a German TT using the VDO nav system, very cool!
Well... I have not seen personally, but from the web site.
