car won't even crank. Please Help!
I had the battery in my 01 TT Quattro 225hp replaced a couple weeks ago. I removed the battery this morning to reinstall the battery hold down bracket that the previous owner threw away. Got everything back together, the car started right up, went to the store and the car won't even crank over. The car has power, all the lights come on but it will not crank. I have checked all my connections everything looks fine.

You most likely have one of a couple issues. either
a) your fuel pump or fuel pump relay is out. Its really easy to tell though. When you go to start your car, make sure its somewhat quiet (radio off, no noisy traffic), turn the ignition over, do not crank. You should hear a somewhat noisy "HUMM" from your trunk ish area. If you dont hear that humm, you know your problem.
B) You could be having an issue with your crank angle sensor or some other sensor that deals with ignition and firing. Hope its not this. You would most likely have to take it to your local audi dealership.
c) Your starter motor is out. It usually doesnt just "cut out" with no warning though, it starts failing intermitently, then after a while, it will stop working at all.
Hope this at least gets you started in the right direction.
