Clear Corners...again...

I know this topic has been discussed a few times, but I really like the looks of it especially for silver TTs.
Ken has put together a very nice instruction of how to do this mod(Check link). It seems easy, but as warned by many it is best not to play around with those expensive headlight units.
So for Ken and the rest who did this mod, any problems with resealing the units? Water getting into the units? What kind of sealant did you use?
Many thanks

I agree - well 50% agree
I decided to go full on Euro look on mine and leave the orange markers in but remove the US side reflectors - looks pretty good too

These things aren't really "sealed" per say.........>>>
There is air getting in and out of the housings. Occasional internal fogging is normal per Audi. The lens is glued to the body with that tenacious black german non-hardening glue. It does not seem to be a problem to just stick them back together after prying them apart for modification. The glue does not come off, so is still there and re-seals pretty well when you put em back together. Getting a little moisture in there will not hurt anything. If you're really paranoid or ****, you could re-seal with a bead of silicone.

Hmm,that car looks familiar.
The biggest hassle is getting the nose off the car, and then carefully dismantling the headlight units..dont wanna damage em...they aint cheap.
THe black sealant used will reseal the units back together. I have had no fogging or water intrusuion from doing this.
Patience is the name of the game.
