CODE 778: Steering Angle Sensor!! - Please Help

Okay, after hitting a few potholes and messing up my coilovers, the car is fixed and back together. However, it threw code 778 for the steering angle sensor.

Anyone have any idea of this was just tripped because of the driving after hitting all of these potholes, or if the sensor may have went bad (even though its near the steering wheel, no where near the wheels or suspension) ??? Any idea on a price of this sensor?

For AMU/BEA engine (225), no such code in the Bentley Manual. Sorry :-(
