I own a Boxster and was skeptical. But I just returned from my first extended drive in a friend's new TT. What a car. Compares favorably with the Boxster in every respect and surpasses it in some. Interior detailing and material quality is far better on the TT. Acceleration off the line, elasticity at speed, handling in all normal driving ... absolutely equal. Only two areas where the Boxster seems superior (and then only slightly) ... repeated high speed braking, and straight line tracking (though I think my friend's alignment is already off a bit). Bottom line ... both incredible cars ... but no way the Boxster's 15K more fun than the TT!

Default Thanks for your thoughts! I've been thinking both ways, but plan to order a TT Roadster. :-) (nt)

I bought a Boxster when they first came out and ended up selling it after only 330 miles and one month. I was expecting more , I guess, since I had previously owned several 911's.
The TT is a much more fun car to drive - I've had mine now since 5/21 and have driven it approx. 300 miles. Engine is so much more flexible than the Boxster's, with more power where you really need it - off idle thru 3500 rpm. Boxster must be wound higher to accomplish the same, and is pretty weak off idle in my opinion.
I too, will be buying a TT Roadster when they come out - I'm 1st on my dealer's list. I truly hope some new colors will be available by then, especially yellow. Are you listening Audi?

Default With or W/O ASR?

Do you feel better with the ASR turned on or off? In my test drive, I could still squeal with ASR=ON if I wanted to, but I'm curious about anyone's longer-term reaction to ASR on or off...
tia
Carl
