Coolant Temperature guage reading 1 tick past the middle
I know I have posted this before but did not get a good response.
After changing my TB i thought it would end the coolant temperature problem, but i guess not.
It seems that after 1 hour of driving the coolant temperature guage goes up. When in motion the guage will go back down to normal.
I'll have a chance to Vag-com it later in the week.
But what could be the problem/solution???
Thanks

Well, from what I remember.....*edited--read your post wrong*
Sorry, read your post wrong. I see you said it goes *down* while in motion, not up. Check to see what computer is saying your coolant is reading digitally through the climate control.

Problem is that it is everytime the car idles after a drive (~1hr) it will go up
and this problem started in the winter till now I am more worried on those 100+ degree days, with the A/C on at idle

Funny, I've never had that happen before. Here in Seattle, when driving...
on the highway at high speeds, the air seems to cool the car off and it sits one tick below the center. Then in stop and go traffic, it's at the centerline. waterpump new September.

It didn't fix the problem because...>
You don't have a problem. When the engine heats up at rest, the fan is kicked on at a pre-determined temp after a temp rise and cools it back down. This cycle will repeat endlessly if you just sit there at idle. The Radiator needs air flow for cooling. When you're driving, you have plenty of that. It was probably a mistake not to replace the water pump when you did the TB....But I doubt it's a problem (at the current time)
