Default Dealer changed the temp sensor to green one, but

the temp gauge still reads 1-notch down from a "H" when it idles. What else should be looked at? or Is it ok?

Default Could be..>>

Bad Fan or Bad Fan thermostatic switch. Incidences of both reported here in the past few weeks....

(or, heaven forbid, a bad cluster)

Default Dunno about the switch...>>

It's located about one third of the way up on the drivers side of the radiator...

If your clusters going wonky, that could be it...

Are the fans cycling wihen sitting at idle with the AC off? That would be one way to troubleshoot...That and the actual coolant temp actuated through the HVAC controls..

Default Thanks!

The fan does cycle with AC on. I will pay much closer attention, but it seems that the fan doesn't come on when it is needed with AC off. Thanks as always, Steve!

Default hmmm, what do you guys think?

well my gauge cluster has be been acting like crap lately, lines through the pixels, dimming, ect. The temp sensor has also been going on and off, sometimes with the oil can alarm flashing.

is this at all related or indicative of failure of these parts? I'm looking at replacing the temp sensor now.

Default also.

my fan does not seem to come on at any particular time. I dont think I can attribute it to any particular time or instance, it just comes on occassionally. Never really paid attention to this since I never heard a fan come on after driving. Only recently have I heard a fan come on after driving which has made me very curious! What the Hell?
