Dent in hood...how best to fix?
A neighbor kid put a good size dent in the aluminum hood of my 2002 TT w/a "racing" Frisbee. Estimate for fix is $505 w/complete repaint. It's near the front of the hood and has metal stiffner infrastructure immediately under the dent so not sure the paintless dent guys can even get to it. Also got a door ding...will have to remove the door panel.
Any of you guys have experience with this kind of stuff? I find it really irritating. How come this stuff doesn't happen to my POS cars? Suggestions?

Depends how big the dent is as to how easy it'll be to repair.....if it ain't all THAT
big, you may find that a mobile dent person would be able to fix it by drilling through the stiffener infrastructure part and then tapping it out with tiny hammers (they done it on a friend's BMW and you can't see any marks at all).....but that's really only for use on small dings, cuz you don't want someone drilling through the strengthening part of your hood for safety reasons.
