Default Dog bone bushing swap... do I need to support the tranny??

I searched but only found a bit of that info in relation to a VW. I've got the car on ramps and am about to take off the lower shield. Thanks!

Default ok, have the dog bone out, but can't get the center bolt loose. need a vice. ugh.

i've actually spun the whole thing around without the bolt loosening up at all. guess i'll just put the car back together and save it for another day. aargh.

Default clamp it in something you can stand on to hold...

big c-clamp, vice grips, etc. get creative and don't let it win! you will need something to press down on the new bushings when putting that back in though.

Default btw, these are suspension bolts that technically require replacing after each resuse.

i would not use them more than twice..but others here might not be as concerned.

vw dealers stock them as well where i was able to get them cheaper.
