Driver side window issue - HELP

Hi everyone, I am a new mk1 owner and new to this forum, I am hoping someone can help and provide me with some information to the issue I am experiencing with my 2005 Auditt MK1. The driver side window which automatically drops when opening the car seems to be happening at random times while I drive, it also occurs When im mobile and go to leave and lock the car. When the window drops I get a signal on the dash to tell me that the door is open. I then have to open and close the door until the window goes back up, which can look quite strange when parking up to go to the shops 😅 I was wondering if there is anyone on here who has experienced this problem and knows how to resolve it ? I’m not sure if it’s some kind of sensor issue…. I would also be interested to know what kind of cost I would be looking at to get this fixed, just a rough estimate. All feedback and responses appreciated

my problem was the drivers window would not go back up when you closed the door (that last little bit)...
i removed the neg. terminal on the batt. for 30 sec. - replaced it... the window worked again !
( make sure you have the radio code ) !!!
you never know.
